KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the American military to halt its airstrikes on Iran, according to a report by Axios.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Trump said that although the United States remains fully prepared to resume military operations if necessary, it is currently engaged in talks with Iran.
Citing its sources, Axios reported that the United States had carried out daily airstrikes against Iran over the past 13 days, while Iran did not launch attacks against any country in the Middle East on Saturday.
The ongoing military confrontation between the United States and Iran has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict. After days of escalating strikes and reciprocal threats, signs of renewed dialogue are being viewed as a potentially significant step toward reducing tensions.
