KABUL: The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, met with Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev in Kabul to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and irrigation.
During the meeting, Omari outlined Afghanistan’s investment potential and opportunities in the agricultural and livestock sectors, inviting the Uzbek government and private sector to invest in these areas.
Meanwhile, Khodjayev expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in investing in Afghanistan’s agriculture sector and agricultural machinery. Uzbekistan has demand for Afghan agricultural products, including cotton, potatoes, and other farm produce, he said, adding that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in expanding production, processing, and joint agricultural projects.
