KABUL: Abdul Rahman Fida, Consul General of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Dubai, and Ahmad Bilal, Afghanistan’s Commercial Attaché in Dubai, met with Mohammed Ali Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the two sides discussed measures to expand economic collaboration, increase trade volume between Afghanistan and Dubai, and further develop commercial relations.
The discussions also focused on establishing a direct air cargo corridor between Kabul and Dubai to facilitate exports of Afghan products, particularly fresh fruits, creating greater opportunities for Afghan traders to participate in Dubai’s international trade exhibitions, and enhancing cooperation in trade and investment.
The meeting comes as Afghanistan seeks to expand its export markets, attract foreign investment, and strengthen economic ties with regional partners.
