KABUL: The Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee has approved a private sector proposal for the gradual production of tractors and agricultural machinery in the country.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs, the committee reviewed several investment proposals during its regular meeting, held on July 27 at the Marble Palace.
The proposal to gradually manufacture tractors and agricultural machinery was approved after evaluation, to strengthen the country’s manufacturing capacity and support the agricultural sector.
The committee also approved a separate proposal to construct a cafeteria and commercial shops on land owned by the Ministry of Public Health in Sheberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province, following a technical assessment.
