KABUL: Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, says supporting domestic health production is one of the key priorities of the country’s five-year public health strategy.
Speaking at the launch of the strategy, Jalali said that implementing its planned programs would reduce Afghanistan’s dependence on foreign countries in the health sector, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the country’s healthcare system.
He added that the strategy is expected to bring positive changes to the health sector, with the government aiming to provide high-quality, accessible, and standardized healthcare services to all Afghans, including those in remote areas, across preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services.
Jalali emphasized that strengthening domestic health production and improving healthcare services are among the strategy’s main objectives.
