KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs, has said that the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee has reviewed two major construction proposals in the Kunduz and Balkh provinces.
According to a statement, the committee met at the Marble Palace to discuss a proposal for the construction of a 3,000-unit residential township in the Dasht-e Abdan area of Kunduz province.
The project was considered significant due to its economic value and existing demand, said the statement, adding that it has been referred to a designated committee for technical and financial assessment, which will submit its findings to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee after completing a comprehensive evaluation.
The meeting also reviewed a proposal to construct a mixed-use commercial and residential complex in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
According to the statement, the proposal has likewise been referred to the relevant committee for a detailed review, after which its report will be presented to the investment committee.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office said the review of such proposals is aimed at promoting investment and supporting economic and infrastructure development across the country.
