KABUL: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, Shaikh-ul Hadith Mawlavi Hibatullah Akhundzada, says he will not give in to “un-Islamic demands” and “improper orders,” while stressing the importance of respecting the religious and Sharia-based rights of the people.
According to a statement from the Kandahar Information and Culture Directorate, the leader made the remarks during a meeting in Kandahar, saying that rather than responding to “improper orders,” he remains committed to upholding what he described as the people’s divine and religious rights.
He also emphasized the importance of unity and obedience, urging people not to be influenced by “undesirable propaganda” and the country’s “enemies.”
The meeting was held Saturday evening at Kandahar Military Airport and was attended by a number of senior civilian and military officials from the province.
According to official sources, the Islamic Emirate leader has previously emphasized unity, administrative responsibilities and public service in various meetings.
