KABUL: The country’s Chief of Army Staff, Qari Mohammad Faseehuddin Fitrat, says the Afghan military will confront individuals or groups that oppose the Islamic Emirate or intend to undermine the current system, promising what he called a “decisive response.”
Speaking at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Defense to mark the 107th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence, Fitrat said Afghanistan is the common homeland of all Afghans and that Afghans living abroad can return and contribute to the country’s reconstruction.
He also called on those living outside Afghanistan who engage in what he described as “conspiracies and negative propaganda” against Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate to stop such activities.
Fitrat stressed that the Afghan military would work with determination to protect the security and safety of all communities across the country.
