Qatar pledges support for Afghanistan in science and education

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Minister of Higher Education, Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem, met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mirdif bin Ali Al-Qashouti, in Kabul to discuss expanding academic and educational cooperation between the two countries.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, the Qatari ambassador pledged support for sending professors from Qatar and other Islamic countries to Afghanistan, equipping the Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Kabul University of Medical Sciences, and supporting other scientific initiatives.
Nadeem said the Afghan government remains committed to modern education and the development of scientific fields while taking into account Islamic Sharia and the country’s cultural values.
