KABUL: The Ministry of Justice has announced that 670 jeribs of land belonging to the Khawadi project in Balkh province have been confirmed as state property following a review of relevant documents.
Qari Barkatullah Rasouli, spokesperson for the ministry, said the land is located in District 9 of Mazar-i-Sharif.
According to Rasouli, the Special Court for Cases Involving the Usurpation of State Land in the Northern Zone reviewed the documents and, based on a religious ruling, determined that the land belongs to the state.
Officials said the process of identifying state-owned land and recovering allegedly usurped properties is continuing across the country.
