KABUL: Officials from the Nangarhar Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said that a total of 2,153 jeribs of land have been planted with pine nuts in 10 districts of the province this year.
Officials estimate that the land will produce around 1,115 metric tons of pine nuts.
The Nangarhar Agriculture Directorate said 2,780 farmers have received training this year on pine nut cultivation, irrigation, disease control, harvesting, and other related areas.
