Kazakhstan invites Afghan athletes to training programs and friendly competitions

KABUL: Gaziz Akbasov, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Kabul, has met with Mawlavi Ahmadullah Wasiq, head of Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and the country’s Olympic Committee.

Wasiq said in a post on X that the meeting focused on expanding sports cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, holding joint training sessions for athletes and organizing friendly competitions.

According to Wasiq, the Kazakh ambassador invited Afghan athletes to participate in training programs and friendly competitions in Kazakhstan.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of expanding sports relations between the two countries, with both sides welcoming joint training programs and friendly competitions involving Afghan and Kazakh athletes.
