KABUL: Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health, during his visit to Nangarhar, laid the foundation stone for a 50-bed hospital in Khogyani district of the province.
The Ministry of Public Health said the two-storey hospital will be built on 30 jeribs of land within three years in the Chamtala area of Khogyani district in Nangarhar province at a cost of $1.3 million.
According to the ministry, the project is being implemented with financial support from a German organization assisting Afghan children.
Upon completion, the hospital is expected to help meet some of the healthcare needs of residents of Chamtala and Khogyani districts.
