KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate, has condemned what he described as Pakistani military airstrikes on civilian areas in Kunar and Paktika provinces last night.
Mujahid said in a post on X that in the strikes in Kunar, one woman and two men were martyred and two men and two women were injured. He said all the victims were local civilians.
He added that in Paktika, an airstrike targeted a house and a local shop, but caused no fatalities.
Mujahid described the strikes as “aggression and oppression” and a repetition of previous crimes, and alleged that Pakistan’s military leadership had carried out the attacks again to divert public attention from security failures inside the country.
The Islamic Emirate spokesman also said Afghans would give an “appropriate response” to what he called the aggression.
