KABUL: A technical delegation from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, during a visit to Tashkent, discussed technical and financial challenges related to the Toti Maidan gas project contract with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Mining and Industry.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said in a statement that the two sides discussed ways to address the existing challenges and advance work on the Toti Maidan project.
Uzbekistan’s minister said his country was ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in monitoring the project, providing funding and addressing the existing challenges.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said the talks aimed to reduce obstacles facing the Toti Maidan gas project and strengthen joint cooperation to facilitate the practical implementation of the project contract.
