KABUL: A delegation from Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), led by Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, the company’s Chief Executive, has held talks with Muhammad Umar Asuzoda, head of Tajikistan’s electricity company, on expanding cooperation in electricity and energy.
The two sides discussed increasing Afghanistan’s electricity imports from Tajikistan, expanding transmission lines, improving electricity quality and voltage, tariffs, investment opportunities, and technical training.
Tajikistan’s electricity company also shared plans to build a 500-kilovolt transmission line and said it was ready to consider Afghanistan’s request to increase electricity imports.
The two sides agreed that their technical and commercial teams would continue negotiations to achieve practical results.
