HERAT: Herat Governor Shaikh Maulana Islam Jar held talks with Uzbek trader Nikzad on expanding economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the provincial governor’s press office said.
According to the statement, Nikzad said during the meeting that he was ready to produce and export gas transportation tanks for vehicles and related equipment to markets in various countries.
He said that about $5.5 million has so far been invested in the sector.
The Herat governor assured the Uzbek businessman that the provincial authorities would provide the necessary cooperation to facilitate investment, production, and exports.
