“Agricultural and trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan should be expanded”

KABUL: Mawlavi Attaullah Omari, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, has called for expanding agricultural and trade cooperation and joint investment between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Omari made the remarks while attending the “Global Technical Forum of Landlocked Countries on Food Security and Sustainable Development Goals” in Tashkent.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said that during the forum, Omari emphasized not only expanding cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector but also strengthening trade opportunities and joint investments.

According to the ministry, expanding such cooperation could help strengthen economic relations between the two countries and contribute to the growth of Afghanistan’s agricultural sector.
