KABUL: Zalmay Khalilzad, the former U.S. special representative for Afghanistan, has warned that the dissolution of the elected government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the imposition of emergency rule by Pakistan’s federal government could escalate instability and violence in the country.
In a post on his X account, Khalilzad wrote that Pakistan’s crises were deepening.
His remarks come as the Pakistani government has announced plans to impose emergency rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
