KABUL: Tariq Ali Bakheet, the special envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan, held talks with Thomas Frellesen, the European Union’s special envoy for Afghanistan, on developments in the country.
According to a statement issued by the OIC, Nicholas Bloom, acting head of the EU Delegation in Afghanistan, also attended the meeting.
The two sides emphasized strengthening cooperation with Afghanistan, addressing humanitarian needs, and exploring areas of cooperation in healthcare, education, and alternative livelihoods.
The OIC Secretary-General’s special envoy also stressed the need for continued international cooperation and coordinated efforts to support the Afghan people.
