KABUL: Mawlavi Mohammad Nabi Bahar, spokesperson for the General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations, says Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, and his accompanying delegation visited the International Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
According to Bahar, Hamkar also met with representatives of several major international companies operating in the electricity sector on the sidelines of the exhibition.
Hamkar described the use of advanced equipment and modern, standardized technologies in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution as key priorities for Breshna Sherkat.
During the meetings, he emphasized expanding technical and commercial cooperation, transferring specialized knowledge and expertise, adopting modern technologies, and attracting investment in Afghanistan’s electricity sector.
The engagement could create opportunities for greater cooperation with international companies and investment in Afghanistan’s power sector, potentially supporting the development of energy infrastructure and improvements in electricity services.
