KABUL: Sayed Karim Hashemi, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, attended the Turkmenistan International Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition (OGT 2026) in Ashgabat.
On the sidelines of the event, Hashemi met with Mergen Gurdov, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of international oil and gas companies, where they discussed expanding trade relations, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening joint cooperation.
Highlighting Afghanistan’s economic potential, Hashemi invited international investors and companies to explore available opportunities, invest in various sectors of the Afghan economy and cooperate with the country’s private sector.
