KABUL: Elon Musk CEO of SpaceX has said that Ukraine has used the Starlink satellite communications network to operate attack drones, which he said violates the terms of service of the network.
Musk wrote on X that Starlink has never been permitted, and should not be permitted, for controlling attack drones used to kill people.
At the same time, he described Starlink as vital to Ukraine’s defence and warned that shutting down the network could lead to the immediate collapse of Ukraine’s front line.
Musk said Starlink remains one of the communications systems most resistant to disruption or destruction. He described his comments about the network’s importance as “a statement of fact, not a threat.”
