KABUL: Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said security in West Asia should be ensured by countries in the region, without foreign interference.
According to Iranian media, Rezaei made the remarks following a quadrilateral meeting involving Iran, Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia.
He stressed that resolving regional problems required joint cooperation.
He added that participants at the meeting had called for an end to Israeli attacks and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, southern Syria, Gaza, and the West Bank.
