KABUL: Twelve former U.S. officials who resigned in protest against the Biden administration’s Gaza policy and its support for Israel’s military operations have called on Democratic candidates in the 2028 presidential election to condemn the policy and those who shaped it.
According to Reuters, the former officials issued a joint statement urging the candidates to pledge not to appoint officials who played a direct role in supporting Israel’s military actions in Gaza to positions in a future administration.
The signatories also called on the Democratic candidates to hold accountable those who helped formulate and implement the Biden administration’s Gaza policy.
