KABUL: Islamic Emirate spokesman Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid has welcomed Washington’s readiness to play a constructive role in resolving tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, while also expressing appreciation for the efforts of countries that have previously acted as mediators.
Speaking to Omid Radio, Mujahid said Pakistan had made allegations against Afghanistan and maintained that the conflict was initiated by Pakistan’s military regime, adding that continuing the conflict was in neither side’s interest.
Mujahid said the Islamic Emirate had consistently favoured dialogue and negotiations to resolve disputes and remained committed to that approach.
