Trump: U.S. to end annual financial aid to Israel after 2026

KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Washington will halt its annual financial assistance to Israel after the end of 2026, under an agreement reached with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Al Arabiya English reported on Tuesday, November 3, that Trump made the remarks in an interview with Fox News, saying the two sides had agreed several months ago to end the payments.

Trump said the United States provides Israel with $4 billion annually, but the payments would stop after 2026, adding, however, that Washington would continue to assist Israel if necessary.

The announcement comes as U.S. military aid to Israel stands at approximately $3.8 billion annually under the current agreement between the two countries, which is set to expire in 2028.
