Vance says progress made in talks with Iran

KABUL: U.S. Vice President JD Vance has reported progress in indirect negotiations with Iran, saying Washington has set no deadline for Tehran to reach an agreement.

Speaking to reporters, Vance said he and U.S. President Donald Trump remained optimistic about the possibility of reaching a deal through negotiations.

He added that progress had been made in the talks, but it remained unclear whether the process would lead to a final agreement.

The remarks come as the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran enters its ninth month, while diplomatic efforts mediated by Qatar continue to revive negotiations.
