Three contracts worth two billion Afghanis signed between Ministry of Transport and private sector

KABUL: Three contracts worth two billion Afghani were signed between the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and the Private sector.

In a ceremony held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), the contracts were signed today [Wednesday 31 January] in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund.

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, in the ceremony, called the signing of contracts as an important step towards the standardization of the country’s transportation sector.

These contracts included the construction of a parking lot and waiting area at Kabul International Airport, the construction of a bridge park in Band-e Aqina, Faryab province, and the construction of a transit terminal in Herat province, which cost approximately two billion Afghanis.

With the implementation of these projects, significant improvements and conveniences will be provided in the country’s air and ground transportation sector.

Previously, several important projects have been implemented to provide facilitation at Kabul International Airport.
