KABUL: Following the conclusion of the first round of talks between the U.S. and Iranian diplomats hosted by Oman, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, told reporters Saturday night that the negotiations are proceeding well.
While expressing satisfaction with the progress of the discussions, he also mentioned that he does not want to elaborate further on the talks, as the work is not yet completed.
According to him, nothing will hold significance until the negotiations between Washington and Tehran are concluded.
Previously, the White House, in a statement, referred to the Iran-U.S. discussions as a step forward towards reaching an agreement.
On the other hand, Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, described the talks with the American delegation as constructive.
The next round of negotiations between the Iranian and U.S. diplomatic teams is scheduled to take place next Saturday in Oman.
