KABUL: Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, is set to visit Tehran, the capital of Iran.
The Iranian news outlet Iran Nouvance said on its X page on Thursday night that the Saudi defense minister will meet with senior military and political officials in Iran to discuss strengthening relations between Tehran and Riyadh.
Issues including the war in Gaza, the situation in Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, as well as increased cooperation in various security sectors and stability in the Persian Gulf, will be discussed.
This is the first visit of a high-ranking military official of Saudi Arabia to Iran in nearly two years, after the normalization of political relations between Tehran and Riyadh.
