Nearly 13 thousand families received cash and foodstuff in six provinces

KABUL: Humanitarian assistance including foodstuff and cash have been distributed to nearly 13,000 families in six provinces of the country, said the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) in separate statements yesterday.

According to the statement, 1,080 families in Paktika, 2,275 families in Nangarhar, 1,555 families in Jawzjan, 4,919 families in Kunduz, and 1,350 families in Zabul received foodstuffs.

Meanwhile, 1,766 families received cash assistance in Helmand province.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development added that humanitarian aids have been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.

The beneficiary families expressed gratitude over receiving aids during the winter season.

The process of distributing humanitarian aid to the needy families continues in the country on a daily basis.
