KABUL: Officials of the Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) have provided healthcare services to 700,000 individuals in Afghanistan in the current solar year.
The head of the Médecins Sans Frontières, Philippe Ribière made the remarks on Sunday in a meeting with the Deputy Political Minister of Foreign Affairs Sher Mohammad Abas Stanikzai, the ministry said in a statement.
In the meeting, Philippe Ribière asked for the Islamic Emirate’s cooperation for the continuation of the activities of Doctors Without Borders.
In the meeting, Deputy Political Minister of Foreign Affairs Sher Mohammad Abas Stanikzai asked for the expansion of the Doctors Without Borders activities in Afghanistan.
“The Islamic Emirate is committed to cooperating with any institution that works for the development of Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Stanikzai as saying.
Médecins Sans Frontières is an active international organization in the healthcare sector.
