LASHKARGAH: Six water supply networks inaugurated with the cost of 28 million Afghanis in Helmand province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) said in a statement Monday.
According to statement, the water supply projects were implemented in Khanshin, Garmser, Greshk, Kajaki, and Musa Qala districts of Helmand province.
“The projects have been funded by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF),” [Statement]
The required electricity for the newly constructed water supply projects in Helmand will be provided from the solar resources.
With the inauguration of the water supply projects in respective districts, safe drinking water have been provided to more than 12,000 thousand residents.
With support of the Islamic Emirate and international organizations, the implementation of water supply projects executing in provinces where people facing water scarcity.
