KABUL: As the cultural, archaeological, and historical treasures of Gaza face destruction by the Israeli regime, an exhibition showcasing the region’s 5,000-year-old artifacts has been held in Paris, France.
According to Anadolu Agency on Friday, the exhibition, referred to as a “museum in exile,” is hosted at the “Institut du Monde Arabe” under the title “Saved Treasures of Gaza: Five Thousand Years of History,” was held in Paris.
Running from April to November this year, the exhibition features 100 ancient artifacts spanning from the Bronze Age to contemporary times, highlighting Gaza’s historical role as a vibrant center of culture, trade, and religious life along the Mediterranean coast.
This exhibition takes place amidst ongoing Israeli bombardments of the Gaza Strip, which have targeted the area with thousands of tons of bombs for the past year and a half.
Reports indicate that in addition to the destruction of Gaza, more than 150,000 civilians have been killed or wounded, and approximately 70 historical and archaeological sites have been obliterated.
