KABUL: The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced that over $400 million is needed to address the situation of returnees in Afghanistan this year.
In a statement UNAMA stated on Wednesday that this amount includes $64 million for emergency assistance at Afghanistan’s borders and $350 million to support 600,000 returnees and affected communities.
UNAMA emphasized the importance of immediate aid and investment in long-term capabilities for returnees.
