KABUL: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has signed nine Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth 786 million Afghani (some 10,669 US dollars) with local and foreign institutions, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The agreements were signed yesterday by the leadership of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and representatives of local and international institutions, said the statement.
“The protection of children, orphanages, humanitarian aid, and vocational training are the most important components of these projects,” Source stated.
According to the ministry, it’s due to a total of 25,000 people in 13 provinces of the country will benefit from these agreements.
The ministry has stated that they are closely working with institutions involved in these agreements with the aim of improving conditions for eligible children.
The representatives of the institutions, while signing the Memorandum of Understandings pledged that they would act according to the terms of the agreement.
Worth mentioning that, after the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate, efforts have increased for the improving situation of children, especially children in orphanages.
