KABUL: The World Food Programme (WFP) distributed humanitarian assistance including cash and foodstuffs to nearly 12,500 families in eight provinces of the country, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements yesterday.
According to the ministry, nearly 4,000 families in Uruzgan, 2,000 families in Takhar, 714 families in Khost, nearly 2,000 families in Farah, 450 families in Logar, 1,050 families in Parwan, 151 families in Paktika and 1,800 families in Kapisa received cash and foodstuff assistance.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development added that humanitarian aids has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.
Two days ago, the Ministry also announced the distribution of humanitarian aid to over 20,000 families in several provinces of the country.
