National Museum preserves artifacts with over 5,000 years, Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi

KABUL: Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister for Culture and Art of the Ministry of Information and Culture, stated that the country’s national museum currently houses artifacts dating back over 5,000 years.
According to Radio Omid correspondent, he made the remarks today during a ceremony celebrating Museum Solidarity in Kabul.
He called the historical artifacts in the country as a treasure of Afghans and emphasized that the protection and preservation of these items is the responsibility of all citizens.
He also noted that dozens of domestic and foreign tourists visit the valuable historical artifacts in the Afghanistan Museum daily.
Azizi highlighted that an exhibition of Afghanistan’s historical artifacts is set to be held in Doha, Qatar, in the near future.
He urged enthusiasts of historical and archaeological artifacts to visit the museum.
Notably, May 18 is recognized globally as International Museum Day, celebrating cultural heritage and solidarity among museums.
