Elon Musk’s clash with Trump administration: “Government tax bill is outrageous and disturbing”

KABUL: Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and owner of SpaceX and Tesla, has recently described the U.S. government’s tax bill under Donald Trump as “outrageous, shameful, and disturbing.”

Addressing members of the U.S. House of Representatives, in a statement on his X on Tuesday night, he stated that they had made a mistake and emphasized that their actions were “shameful.”

He expressed “regret” over the approval of the tax bill by the House, stating, “I’m sorry, but I can no longer tolerate this. This massive, horrific bill filled with undue favors from Congress is a disaster and deeply disturbing.”

Meanwhile, several members of the U.S. Senate, where the bill is also set to be voted on, have supported Musk’s position.

The newly passed tax bill under the Trump administration increases funding for the U.S. military, immigration laws, and border security. This legislation is an extension of the tax cut law implemented during Trump’s previous administration in 2017.
