KABUL: The International Rescue Committee reports that over 122 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes worldwide.
According to the committee, the individuals have been compelled to leave due to wars, climate change, and natural disasters. Recent data indicates that nearly 40% of those displaced are under the age of 18.
The statistics show that a significant portion of the forcibly displaced individuals come from Afghanistan, Sudan, Syria, and Ukraine.
The report comes at a time when the forced displacement of Afghan refugees from neighboring and regional countries has notably increased over the past four years.
