Putin responds to possibility of assassination of Khamenei: “I don’t even want to discuss it”

KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a warning to the West regarding the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

During an interview with several international media outlets in St. Petersburg, on Wednesday, Putin stated that he does not even want to entertain the possibility of discussing such an event.

When asked what his reaction would be after the Iranian leader’s assassination, Putin said; “I don’t even want to discuss such a possibility.”

Putin also provided information on Russia’s military assistance to Iran, emphasizing that Tehran has not requested military help from Moscow in its conflict with Israel.

He clarified that the equipment previously delivered to Iran was in accordance with international law and unrelated to the war between Iran and the Israeli regime.

This comes in the context of recent comments by former US President Donald Trump, who stated that Washington is unaware of Khamenei’s whereabouts and does not wish to target him, at least for now.
