Mawlavi Hanafi emphasizes win-win cooperation between Kabul and Beijing

KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, highlighted the importance of expanding friendly relations between Beijing and Kabul, emphasizing that such relations require win-win cooperation, according to a statement from Arg today.

He made the remarks during his visit to China in a meeting with Wang Dongming, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Sun Weidong, Deputy Foreign Minister, and several Chinese investors in Yunnan Province.

During the meeting, Wang referred to Afghanistan and China as “good neighbors” and noted that there are no significant issues in their relations.

He expressed hope for further expansion of bilateral ties.

Wang also mentioned the opening of the China-South Asia Exhibition, stating that it would bring significant economic benefits to Afghanistan.

The statement stated that the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Afghanistan’s support for the major “Belt and Road” initiative. Hanafi expressed optimism about strengthening and developing relations between Afghanistan and China across various fields.

Two days ago, a high-level Afghan delegation led by Mawlavi Hanafi traveled to China to participate in the opening ceremony of the China-Central Asia Exhibition.
