Araghchi in Istanbul to participate in OIC Foreign Ministers meeting

KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, to participate in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers’ meeting.

In an interview with state media, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Tehran has requested a special session of OIC foreign ministers to condemn the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iran, which has been accepted by member states.

Araghchi mentioned that he will hold bilateral meetings with several participating members and the OIC president during the meeting.

He emphasized that he is also scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, these meetings aim to amplify the plight and rights of the Iranian people to the global community.

Notably, last week, the OIC condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iranian territory in a statement.
