KABUL: Following the U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has stated that there are no reports of radiation (release of nuclear particles) outside these facilities.
In a statement released today, the IAEA noted that it will provide further information as soon as it receives more data and assesses the situation in Iran.
The agency’s comments come after heavy U.S. airstrikes targeted three Iranian nuclear centers early this morning.
Reports indicate that the attack involved six bunker-buster bombs (GBU-57) launched from B-2 bombers and the firing of 30 missiles from a U.S. Navy submarine.
Iranian state media have reported that no serious damage was inflicted on the country’s nuclear facilities as a result of the attack.
