KABUL: Russian media reports indicate that Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has firmly condemned U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, calling them as clear violations of international law.
The remarks were made during the meeting of defense ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Belousov stated that Moscow is ready to cooperate in de-escalating tensions and can act as a mediator for dialogue.
He also expressed solidarity with Tehran during the Israeli attacks and strongly denounced these actions.
The Iran-Israel conflict lasted for 12 days, and following a ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on the 13th day, both countries ceased their aerial and missile strikes against one another.
