Hundreds of prominent figures in UK call for ban on sending arms to Israel

KABUL: Over 400 prominent figures from the arts and cultural sectors in the UK have launched a protest calling for a ban on sending arms to the Zionist Israeli regime.

According to a report by Turkey’s TRT news agency today, the protesters have issued an open letter urging the British government to reverse its decision to ban the activities of the group “Palestine Action” and to halt the shipment of weapons to Israel.

Palestine Action is a group of political activists in the UK advocating for the end of military cooperation between London and Tel Aviv.

The UK Home Office recently announced its intention to ban the group’s activities under anti-terrorism legislation.

In their letter, the prominent cultural and artistic figures stated: “Palestine Action is acting to prevent genocide and is working to save lives. They condemned the government’s decision to declare the group illegal.”

They warned that labeling non-violent activities as “terrorism” is an attack on democracy.

The Israeli regime’s attacks on Gaza and the killing of civilians, alongside Western countries’ military cooperation with Israel, have sparked significant reactions among citizens in these countries.
