KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Hamas to accept the proposed 60-day ceasefire with Israel.
In a post on his X today, expressed hope that Hamas would approve the proposal for the “good and welfare” of the Middle East.
According to him, the new 60-day ceasefire proposal is set to be shared with Hamas by Qatari and Egyptian peace mediators.
He stated: “My representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis regarding Gaza today.”
Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions for finalizing the 60-day ceasefire.
Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the ceasefire proposal, the situation will worsen.
Details of the 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas have yet to be disclosed, even as attacks by Hamas on Israeli forces in Gaza and civilian casualties caused by Israeli military actions continue in the region.
