KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Mawlavi Ghul Hassan, the Islamic Emirate’s new ambassador to Russia, has officially commenced his duties following his introduction.
Hafez Zia Ahmad Takal, head of information and public relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported today that the new ambassador assured during his introduction ceremony that he will carry out his responsibilities with full commitment and in cooperation with the embassy staff.
The ministry considers Russia’s confirmation of the new Afghan ambassador as a significant step in strengthening relations between the two countries.
They expressed hope that this move would further enhance political and economic ties between Afghanistan and Russia.
It is noted that the new ambassador arrived in Moscow yesterday and officially began his duties today following the introduction ceremony.
