U.S. flood victims rise to 82, over 40 still missing

KABUL: U.S. government officials have confirmed that the death toll from the devastating floods in Texas has risen to 82, according to the Associated Press.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated that 41 individuals are still unaccounted for across the state, and this number may increase.
In the Kerr area, where a summer camp for teenagers is located, rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 68 people, including 28 children.
Additionally, the bodies of 10 others have been found in the regions of Travis, Burnet, Kendall, Tom Green, and Williamson.
Local officials have not ruled out further increases in the number of flood victims.
The catastrophic floods began on Friday local time, following heavy rainfall across Texas.
Governor Abbott has also warned of a new wave of heavy rain expected to continue for another two days.
